Notifications and emails

The bell in the top bar shows what is happening. Under Settings, Notifications you choose what you want a notification or email for.

The bell

The bell sits in the top right of the top bar. A red number counts unread notifications. Click it for the list; every notification links to the post, approval or channel it is about.

What you get notified about

  • Post published: a scheduled post went live.
  • Post failed: a scheduled post could not be published, with the reason.
  • Approval requested or handled: for approvers and for whoever submitted a post.
  • Analysis approval requested or handled: the same for AI analyses.
  • New team member: someone accepted your invitation.
  • Channel needs reconnecting: a channel has to be reconnected or expires soon.
  • Security: a new trusted device and a password that shows up in a data breach. These two are always on.

Setting and turning off

Under Settings, Notifications there is a switch per type. Everything is on by default. Changes save immediately.

Email

Two things you want to hear about even when the dashboard is closed: a post that could not be published, and a channel that needs reconnecting. For both, Uploadlane sends an email to your account address. You switch those on or off per type under Settings, Notifications as well.
