Autosave and drafts
The composer saves your work while you type. Close it by accident and everything is back when you reopen; with a video in it, it becomes a draft.
Autosave in the composer
Everything you fill in the composer (caption, title, hashtags, chosen platforms, time) is stored locally in your browser while you work. Close the composer or the tab and reopen it later, and you see the notice Unsaved work restored, with a Discard button in case you want to start over. This works per workspace and per post.
If the video was not uploaded yet, the composer asks you to pick it again; your text is still there. A snapshot older than seven days is discarded.
Closing with a video in it
If a video is already in the composer when you close it, Uploadlane saves the post as a draft. The video is uploaded at that point and you find the post under Posts, Drafts tab. A large upload is never lost that way.
Drafts
- Save draft stores a post deliberately without scheduling it.
- Open a draft from Posts, Drafts, or through the Planner (duplicate creates a draft too).
- Remove the video from a draft and the composer asks whether the whole draft can go: without a video nothing is left.
Autosave lives in your browser, not on the server. On another device you only see the saved drafts.
